5.7 L Stand Mixer with Stainless Bowl
It does the kneading for you.
A 5.68 litre bowl, 1100 watts through a worm gear and six speeds, so bread dough and meringue come out of the same machine.
The bowl holds 5.68 litres and is stainless steel with a handle on the side, so it comes off the machine and goes to the bench without a fight. Three attachments cover most of what a home kitchen asks for: a dough hook for bread and pizza, a flat beater for cake batter, mash and icing, and a wire whip for cream and egg whites. A scraper comes with them.
Six speeds and a pulse setting run through a worm gear drive at 220 r/min. Low for dough, the middle for fillings, the top two for whipping. The head tilts back on a lever and the motor cuts out when you lift it, and a splash guard clips on so flour goes in without coming back at you.

Questions
What comes with it?
The 5.68 litre stainless bowl, a dough hook, a flat beater, a wire whip, a scraper and a splash guard. That is everything you need for bread, cakes and cream on the day it arrives. The bowl has a handle on the side, which makes it easier to carry full.
Which speed do I use?
One to three for dough, two to four for fillings and batters, five and six for whipping cream and egg whites. Pulse gives you a short burst for folding something through. Bring the machine to a stop before you change speed rather than moving the dial while it runs.
Will it move around on the bench?
It has anti-slip feet and weighs 5.26 kg, so a level bench with all four feet down keeps it steady. Heavy dough on a high speed is what makes any mixer travel, which is another reason to keep dough on speeds one to three.
Can I add flour while it is running?
Yes, that is what the splash guard is for. It clips over the bowl and leaves an opening to pour through, so the flour goes in rather than out. Start slow, add gradually, then bring the speed up once it is wet.
What happens if I lift the head?
The motor stops. The head releases on a lever and cuts power as it tilts back, so the attachment is not turning while your hands are near the bowl. Lower it again and it will not restart until you turn the speed dial.
