A dry store is only as good as its shelving, and wire racks were never meant to hold flour.
This is a solid-shelf stainless unit for the storeroom, the cool room or the wall behind the prep bench. Each of the five tiers is 1186 by 430 mm and rated to 150 kg, which is a tier of flour bags or a row of 20 litre buckets. The shelves have vent holes, so air still moves around stored food, and a cross beam at the back stabilises the frame when it is loaded.
The tiers adjust in 50 mm steps, so they go where the stock needs them. Leave one out and a tall ingredient bin or a bun pan rack slides underneath. It stands on adjustable feet rather than castors, which is what you want for a unit that is loaded to the top and never moved. It weighs 23.8 kg and goes together with the tools in the box.

Questions
Is it rated for a cool room?
It is stainless with vented shelves, so it resists rust in the cold and damp and it lets chilled air move around the stock. Leave a gap between the back of the unit and the wall so air can circulate.
Can I put castors on it?
It comes with adjustable feet and is designed to stand still under load. It is not a mobile unit. If you need shelving that moves, look at a bun pan rack for trays or a mobile work table for gear.
How much can each shelf really hold?
150 kg per tier, which the maker gives as an average load. That is a tier full of flour bags or a row of 20 litre buckets. Do not stand a single 150 kg item in the middle of a tier; heavy point loads belong over the columns.
Can I take shelves out?
Yes. The maker suggests detaching the middle tiers to store larger objects. Keep the top and bottom tiers and place the middle ones wherever the stock needs them, or leave one out for a tall bin.
Can I join two units side by side?
They stand next to each other at 1200 mm each, but they do not bolt together. Level both with their feet. Two units make a 2.4 m run, which suits most small dry stores.
