Chafing Dish Set of Four, 7.5 L
Four dishes, one table, still hot.
A buffet lives or dies on whether the food is still hot when the last person reaches it. This is the gear that keeps it that way.
Each chafer is a folding stainless frame holding a full-size water pan, with a food pan sitting in the water above the fuel. The water spreads the heat so nothing scorches and nothing goes cold at the edges. Two of the four come with a single full-size 7.5 litre pan for the main dish; the other two come with a pair of 4 litre half pans each, which is how you get rice and vegetables, or two curries, from one chafer.
The gold finish looks the part on a wedding table, and the food and water pans lift out for washing while the frame wipes clean. The frames fold to save storage space between events.

Questions
Does it come with fuel?
No. It is heated by chafing fuel, which you buy separately from any catering supplier.
Can I use it for cold food?
Yes. The maker says it can hold cold items as long as they are not heated; leave the fuel out. It is designed first for hot food.
Can I wash the pans?
Yes. The food pan and water pan lift out for washing, and the frame wipes clean after each use. The whole set is stainless steel.
Will the gold finish wear off?
It is a coloured finish on stainless steel. Hand wash and avoid scourers on the frames to keep it looking new.
How many people does a set of four serve?
The maker rates the set for at least eight people. How far it stretches depends on how many dishes you run and how full you keep the pans, but four chafers is the number most small caterers start with.
