Meat Strip Cutter, 550 W
Strips by the kilo, not by the knife.
Cutting stir-fry beef by hand is an hour a day someone is not doing anything else. This does it in minutes.
The cutter is a set of round 80 mm stainless blades driven by a 550 W motor through nylon and metal gears. Meat goes into the feed port on top and comes out the front as strips, 3.5 mm wide on the standard set or 5 mm on the wider one. The width is fixed by the blades, so every strip in the tray is the same and the pan cooks them all at the same rate.
It handles boneless pork, beef, lamb and chicken, fish fillets, and soft vegetables like cabbage and mushrooms. Not bones, not frozen food, not potatoes, carrots or lotus root; those need a different machine. The nylon gears keep it quiet, and at 21 kg on its rubber base it does not move while it works.

Questions
What can I put through it?
Boneless meat of any kind, fish fillets, and soft vegetables such as cabbage, capsicum and mushrooms. Not bones, not frozen or part-frozen meat, and not hard vegetables like potato, carrot or lotus root. Those will stall the blades or damage them.
Can it dice or mince?
The maker describes it as cutting slices, shreds or minced meat, depending on what you feed it and how. For a proper mince you want the grinder, which also has a sausage stuffer on it.
Does the blade width change?
The width is set by the blade set, not a dial. The machine ships with the width you choose, 3.5 or 5 mm.
Is it loud?
Less than you would expect. The gear train uses nylon gears to keep the noise down and metal gears where the load is. You will hear it, but it is not a loud machine.
What do I do before the first use?
The blades arrive coated in a protective rust-proof oil that water alone will not shift. Run some cabbage through, discard it, then wash the blades in hot water and detergent. After that it is a normal clean at the end of each day.
